Byzantine Weave

Although this weave is also known as fool's dilemma, you won't be fooled as Brittany deftly teaches you this great pattern. Byzantine is a beautiful display of the beauty of chain mail in jewelry design and a great weave to start on. Celtic Knot

A fabulous beginners class that mixes techniques, it combines chain mail and wire wrapping into one fun high energy class. Brittany will teach you how to create this simple, yet elegant celtic knot chain mail unit.

Even Count Peyote

This simple off-loom stitch is one every header should have in their repertoire. Even count peyote produce a tight weave of beads that lends itself to long flat projects. Think cuffs, be a fabric, beaded bails — the list goes on. In this class, Nancy will teach you how to read a peyote pattern, how to add and hide thread and the proper tension to use you make a wide cuff bracelet. This is a great introduction to peyote and bead stitching. Bring glasses as you are working with small delica beads.

Free Form Peyote

Half Persian

You would think this would be an easier class than the Full Persian Weave, right? Not so much. This class requires pre-approval from Brittany to attend as this weave can be a bit tricky. The hard part really is starting this weave and it does get easier from there. You do need to have a good foundation of opening and closing rings, knowing the ring numbers and understanding how a weave is constructed. Not only will you walk away from class with a beautiful finished bracelet you will have achieved some mad chain mail skills. Not for the faint of heart but for those of you who love a good challenge.

Hand Hammered Cones

Cones make a beautiful transition point between your clasp and the body of your piece. In this class let Steve teach you how to make personalized cones out of sheets of metal. You will start out cutting discs that will then be textured with special jeweIer's hammers. Once you have the desired look and design Steve will show you how you shape the discs into cones by using a dapping block. The results will be one of a kind cones that you can then use on your next project. This class is a great beginner's class as you will learn many different jewe|er's skills and techniques that you can use in many future classes and projects.

PMC Textures

Come join Mike as he unlocks the secrets of PMC. That's right, Mike Charveaux owner of Scottsdale Bead Supply and jeweler extraordinaire will be teaching this class in which you will learn the basics of PMC. This class is excellent for those who really want to perfect their wire wrapping skills. There are some tricks to doing a good wrap and Kacey will divulge each and every one of them. You will make a bunch of wrapped components which will be linked to each other. It's a great way to learn how to properly use the round nose pliers when making loops and why it is so important to use your tools when wrapping the wire around the stem. Netted bead work is an extremely popular beading technique. One of the off-loom beadwork styles, netting works up quickly, is very versatile and creates an airy and lace like quality to your piece. In the netted pearl class, you will learn how to create an open space pattern with seed beads which will be filled with pearl rounds. Join Mike in this PMC class as he shows you how to make fine silver charms from PMC clay. In the first part of this class you will learn how to properly work with PMC, the storage of PMC and the different types of PMC. As you start to work with the clay, Mike will teach you the techniques for texturing, shaping, and forming PMC into charms. Once you have made a few charms you will learn how to fire your pieces with a torch. No kiln required. This string, fast, Russian-style lacy beadwork is as easy to learn as it is beautiful. A cousin to square stitch, this is one very adaptable stitch. It is possibly the perfect bead weave stitch for necklaces and pendants as you can use any color and sized bead. You can increase, decrease, add a second layer — you just need to learn the basic stitch and by the end of the class you'll be a pro. This class will teach you a new way to explore and create with wire. Using the simple concept of wire coils and the coiling gizmo tool, we will build a bangle bracelet with a wire base and add complimentary beads. By adding additional layers of wired glass beads and leaves it gives the bangle great depth of color, dimension, and movement that will have people stopping you on the street to get a close look at your creation. This is one of our most popular classes we offer! This class is a great way to learn about wire and all the wonderful things that wire can do. As you create your personal bonsai tree you will learn how to bend and mold wire as you make a frame for the tree to grow on. You will learn the art of twisting wire to form the trunk and limbs as well as how to space the beads in a way that they hang correctly.
